Cricket has changed lives of many players and their family members in the past. In the similar lines, World Cup winner Kranti Gaud's life changed after she helped India won the marquee event back in November 2025. While the other players enjoyed the tournament, the stress, and the victory, Gaud's concentration was always divided.

The 22-year-old has seen many financial difficulties throughout her childhood, but now, things are finally starting to change. In a recent development, Kranti Gaud's father Munna Singh, is re-instated into the Madhya Pradesh Police after being suspended for 13 years. While attending the faliciation ceremony in Bhopal after winning the World Cup, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav publicly pledged that he would help Gaud's father get his 13-year-old job back.

Now, the police headquarters issued official reinstatement orders on Monday and her father will be back in his uniform. For every daughter, it's a dream to watch their fathers excell in their careers, and Gaud was deprived of that in her childhood. However, fate has changed and Munna Singh will return to office, but on a "no work, no pay" basis. This means that he will not be compensated for the years he was suspended.

Why was Kranti Gaud's father suspended?

In 2012, Kranti Gaud's father was removed from his post due to alleged negligence during election duty and that charge forced him out of service for 13 years. They went through many finnacial difficulties before Gaud made it to the Indian team. She is now a part of the World Cup winning team and has cemented her place due to stunning performance in the tournament.

"It was heartbreaking to see my father out of his uniform. Winning for my country while worrying about his future was always in my mind," said Karnti Gaud.
