According to news agency ANI, the BCCI is unwilling to visit Bangladesh for the Annual General Meeting, considering the current political situation between the two nations.
India is currently the host of the upcoming Asia Cup, and the schedule for the six-nation T20 tournament will be fixed in the Annual General Meeting. ACC, run by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi, has narrowed down September as the probable window for the Asia Cup.
However, in a situation when India's upcoming tour to Bangladesh was postponed from August to September, the BCCI are not in the mood to visit the neighbouring country.

The AGM of the Asian Cricket Council is scheduled to take place on 24th July in Dhaka. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who is currently the Chairman of ACC, is trying to impose pressure on India to win the "off-field battle".
India is the current Asia Cup Champions. In 2023, India refused to visit Pakistan to play the Asia Cup. Later on, Sri Lanka was picked as a natural venue for India's matches. Even India denied visiting Pakistan during the Champions Trophy 2025, which India played all the games in Dubai and also won.

There are speculations that the BCCI may have already informed the ACC of its withdrawal from both the Women's Emerging Teams Asia Cup, scheduled for August in Sri Lanka, and the Men's Asia Cup, set for September. However, BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia has denied these rumors.
