Captaincy pressure is way too much if you are playing for the Indian cricket team. We have seen it before. From Sourav Ganguly to MS Dhoni to Virat Kohli to Rohit Sharma, the players have been under immense pressure despite being one of the best in the team.

Now, young Shubman Gill is on the verge of facing the same pressure as India's Test captain. Former India player Varun Aaron brought out a comparison between Kohli and Gill and referred to the pressure the new captain might go through in the upcoming years.

He also hilariously made fun of Kohli's beard, which turned white when he captained India for some time. Gill has been an incredible player so far in the Test series against England, following the footsteps of Kohli.

"That's what happens to all Indian captains. They come in with a full bunch of black hair and leave with a lot of salt and pepper. And then, some even dye their beard," he said, triggering a laugh among the studio experts.

"Shubman Gill has kind of come full circle; he is the Test team captain, has batted so well, more than 700 runs. Any words or phrases would fall short to describe his batting. This Test is going to define his legacy going forward as a captain," Aaron said on the Sony Sports Network.

Shubman Gill achieves new feat in Test cricket

Gill has now become the highest-scoring Indian captain in a Test series in the ongoing match against England. Despite getting dismissed on just 21 runs, he completed the record. India lost two early wickets when Gill walked in to bat. However, while he was setting up a good partnership with Sai Sudharsan, he was run out by Gus Atkinson.

Now, India have lost three wickets under 100 runs. Only a solid partnership from here can save the match for the Men in Blue. The batters are in good form and with two sessions to go, Karun Nair and Sudharsan will have to turn the course of the game for the Indian team.
