‘Most pressure on...’: Faf du Plessis’ bold take on star India cricketer ahead of IPL 2026

South Africa's star cricketer Faf du Plessis revealed that according to him Rishabh Pant will be under pressure since he will be the captain of Lucknow Super Giants. Their season didn't go well last year and hence, the pressure will be on Pant. They do have a good team but their performance has been poor in most cases. 

Speaking about Pant, Du Plessis said that the price tag pressure will be there on the captain and since the last season didnt go well, he will try to give his best this season. Pant is an incredibly talented batter and been performing well in the IPL. When he was with DC, he used to perform for his team. 

For me, he is probably the player in the IPL who's under the most pressure this season. We always talk about the price-tag pressure. Some guys flourish under that price-tag pressure, and some guys don't. The last season for him was a real tough season. The team struggled and his runs also struggled, the way that he batted," said Faf du Plessis on Star Sports. 

When will LSG play 1st match in IPL 2026?

The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will start their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 campaign on April 1 against Delhi Capitals in Lucknow. This will be their first match of the season and in their own backyard. This will surely give them a home advantage.
