Breetzke’s year featured impactful contributions across series, including a record 150 on debut against New Zealand that broke a 47-year South African record and several key fifties anchoring SA totals.
Ever since Breetzke has made his debut, he has been an asset for the Proteas in the starting overs. His conversation rate is extremely strong, making him an incredible opener.

Daryl Mitchell was a consistent force for New Zealand in ODIs during 2025, scoring 761 runs at an average of 54 in 17 matches. Known for steady, anchoring knocks, Mitchell’s ability to rotate strike and build partnerships helped NZ maintain strong innings across series.

The right-handed batter has been in an incredible form across formats and having a player like him in the team is quite impressive. England will be happy to have a responsible player like Root who is in form and has helped the team win matches.
