'New Barca fan is born': FC Barcelona welcome new parents Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt's daughter Raha

It is known that Ranbir Kapoor is a big football lover, especially of the La Liga club FC Barcelona. So it was no surprise when the Bollywood actor used the club's jersey to reveal the name of his wife Alia Bhatt's first child.

In a post on Alia's Instagram, the couple and their daughter can be seen in the foreground while the focus was on the baby’s name printed on the back of the FC Barcelona jersey framed on the wall. 

Soon after the post went viral, the Spanish football club also sent in their congratulations and even welcomed the "new Barca fan". 

"Congratulations, @aliaa08 & Ranbir Kapoor!! A new Barça fan is born. We can't wait to meet you all in Barcelona," read a tweet from the official handle. They also shared the photo which Alia had posted.

The couple had welcomed their first baby earlier this month and chose to name her Raha. The new mom on Instagram shared a photo with Ranbir and the baby and wrote that the name has been chosen by her dadi, Neetu Kapoor.

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot in April 2021 after dating for a couple of years and welcomed Raha on November 6.

Talking about Ranbir's love for football, he is the co-owner of the Indian Super League (ISL) franchise Mumbai City FC.
