New Zealand batters put up another outstanding performance against Zimbabwe in the 6th match of the Zimbabwe T20I Tri-Series, 2025, at the Harare Sports Club, Harare. They defeated the hosts by 60 runs and remain unbeaten in the series. With this match, the Tri-Series has almost reached the last stage. The final match between New Zealand and South Africa will be played on July 26.

After losing two consecutive matches against the Kiwis, it will be interesting to see how the Proteas' players perform in the final match. Meanwhile, in this match, New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner won the toss and elected to bat first. It was a well-calculated decision, and it looked like the batters were ready to explode.

Despite losing Tim Robinson early in the game, Tim Seifert and Rachin Ravindra stitched a 107-run partnership. While Seifert scored 75 runs off 45 balls, Rachin scored 63 runs off 39 balls. The rest of the team fell like a pack of cards after these two were dismissed. Hence, the Kiwis could score only 190 runs in the first innings.

The Zimbabwe bowlers did a terrific job of bringing the team back in the game. Ngarava claimed four wickets while Tinotenda Maposa got two wickets. But the batting was a flop show like always. Only three players scored above the 20-run mark, while the rest of the batters were dismissed on single digits.

Tony Munyonga scored 40 off 30 balls, which is the highest score of the team. New Zealand's Ish Sodhi was brilliant with the ball, claiming four wickets in four overs. He gave away just 12 runs. For his outstanding bowling, he was awarded the Player of the Match.

Hopefully the wickets will keep coming: Ish Sodhi on NZ vs ZIM match

Ish Sodhi won the POTM award and was quite happy with his performance and the effort put in by the other bowlers. AT the post-match presentation, he spoke about his 'long career' and how the pitch acted during the match. It was an impressive performance by the Kiwi bowlers, and he hoped for the wickets to keep coming in the future as well.

"Great team win for New Zealand. Always great to contribute, and it's also a new role for me. Haven't bowled a lot in the powerplay; it's been a long career. Good to take the pressure off Santner and Bracewell. If you bowled a few cross-seamers, it skids low, and that's what I tried today. If you keep putting the ball in the right areas, hopefully the wickets will keep coming," said Ish Sodhi at the post-match presentation.
