While cricket is in the spotlight with two ICC Men's World Cups in months, other sporting athletes who have been eagerly awaiting a major tournament will be keeping a keen eye on 2024 as it marks the year of the Paris Olympics. The countdown for this prestigious event has begun, with the qualification process underway across all fields. As of now, Indian athletes in Athletics (10) and Shooting (19) have secured the most quotas for the Paris Olympics 2024.
Scheduled to unfold from July 26 to August 11, the 2024 Paris Olympics, known as the Summer Olympics, is eagerly anticipated by athletes and fans alike. The 2020 Tokyo Olympics witnessed a historic moment for India, with 124 athletes participating, and among them, seven clinching medals.

This time around, India is set to send a larger contingent of athletes and hopes for an even more remarkable performance, especially after a breakthrough at the Asian Games 2023. In the recent hockey qualifiers held in India, the women's team failed to qualify while the men's team secured a spot. Long Jumper Sreeshankar Murali too suffered a knee injury and won't participate.
