Ravindra Jadeja leaves CSK, reunites with Rajasthan Royals in major IPL shake-up

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have finally released their star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja from the squad in a trade deal with Rajasthan Royals (RR). They have also released Sam Curran who will now play for RR in the upcoming IPL seasons. The deal was long pending and had to face many hardships. However, it has finally come to live as shared by IPL on their social media. Now, both franchises have also shared the deal on their social media accounts. 

With this, Sanju Samson is set to play for CSK in the upcoming IPL seasons. It was a trade deal between the two franchises. The swap has lowered Jadeja's amount from INR 18 crores to INR 14 crores. However, Samson's fees remains the same (18 crores) in CSK. This deal was delayed for the longest time for various issues but now has been cleared. 

What affect will Ravindra Jadeja's absence create in CSK?

Ravindra Jadeja was nothing less than a match-winner for CSK. He has helped them win numerous matches single-handedly and has also helped in winning the IPL 2023. Without him, CSK will lack a seasoned spinner and a brilliant batter who has lots of experience in the field. Moreover, the greatest fielder in the CSK side, Jadeja's absence will impact the playing XI.

However, it will be interesting to see how CSK will play Sanju Samson in the squad. Samson has not been that great in the IPL but has experience which will help CSK in the middle order. If he manages to perform well, the Men in Yellow will have a solid batting line-up and in place of Dhoni, they can also groom Samson as their next wicket-keeper batter.

It seems like both teams have benefitted from the trade as RR will now have Jadeja and Sam Curran. Both the players have performed well in the past and will be looking forward to continue doing so in the future as well.
