"Looks more and more like he belongs in Manchester United"

Amorim highlighted Dorgu’s powerful presence, developing technique, and defensive and pressing work, saying Dorgu “looks more and more like he belongs in Manchester United” at only 20 years old.

“It's impressive. He's 20 years old. He looks more and more like he belongs in Manchester United, and that is hard to do at 20 years old, but he's so powerful, he's getting his technique in his game, he's defending so well, he's pressing so well. So I’m really impressed with Patrick,” Ruben showered his love for Dorgu.

"He's fighting for the balls"

Dorgu is increasingly proving himself as a key player for the Red Devils, with his performances earning high praise from the manager. Ruben also commended the contributions of striker Rasmus Hojlund for his hold-up play and substitute Ethan Williams for his decisive goal in the match.

"Really, pleased. I think the intensity was there. They are so focused in the games. They are really focused in training. They are bonding with each other. So, it was a good test. We controlled really well, Evanilson and [Antoine] Semenyo, and that is really important. We pressed high. I think we improved the way we had our possession. It was not so fast, like against West Ham, so the lads are hearing everything, and they are trying,” Ruben said after the match.

“For me, it's more than a goal. For him, it's more important the goal, and for the fans, maybe it’s more important the goal. We need goals. But the way he's linking the play in this moment, the way he's fighting for the balls, sometimes we are pressed, we can kick the ball, and he’s connecting the ball. That is so important for us to play better. So he's doing a very good job,” he went on to add.

"We just keep improving:" Dorgu

"I feel like the pre-season is helping everyone to understand Ruben's ideas even more," Dorgu told MUTV after the match.

"The more training we have, the more we will grow into his ideas, and I feel like it is being seen a little bit on the pitch already. We just keep improving," he added.
