Rishabh Pant to lead IND-A: Where to watch the IND-A vs SA-A series?

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the India A squad for the upcoming South Africa A series, marking a significant return of star wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant, who will captain the IND-A side. After a six-week hiatus due to a fractured left foot sustained during the England Test series in July 2025, Pant will be back in competitive action. He is set to lead India A in two four-day matches against South Africa A, starting October 30 at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, followed by the second match scheduled for November 6 to 9 at the same venue.

Pant to return to action after six weeks

Pant’s injury had caused him to miss the recent series against the West Indies, and he was a big miss for the Indian squad.

His recovery involved a structured fitness and rehabilitation program under the BCCI medical supervision, culminating in a fitness clearance allowing his captaincy return.

Sai Sudharsan is named as the vice-captain for the series. The India A squad combines experienced players and some rising stars, making it an exciting prospect for cricket fans.​

The series will unfold exclusively at the BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground in Bengaluru, with the first four-day match kicking off on October 30 at 9:30 AM IST and running until November 2.

The second four-day match begins on November 6 and concludes on November 9, also starting at 9:30 AM IST. Following these red-ball matches, India A and South Africa A will play three unofficial ODIs in Rajkot from November 13.​
