Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women continued their impressive start to the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 season with a convincing 61-run victory over Gujarat Giants Women in the 12th match of the tournament at the BCA Stadium in Kotambi, Vadodara.
Batting first, RCB posted a commanding 178 for 6 in their 20 overs, setting a challenging target that the Giants were unable to chase down. RCB’s batting was anchored by Gautami Naik, who top-scored with a well-compiled 73 off 55 balls, including seven fours and a six, providing stability in the middle overs.
Richa Ghosh contributed 27 from 20 deliveries, giving vital impetus toward the end of the innings. For GG, Ashleigh Gardner and Kashvee Gautam claimed two wickets each. The bowlers did a fine job in keeping the scoreboard in check but RCB batters were in a different mindset.

In response, the Gujarat Giants struggled to gain traction, finishing 117 for 8 in their 20 overs as RCB’s bowlers kept the pressure on throughout. Ashleigh Gardner's half-century went in vain as the rest of the batters failed to perform. GG lost early wickets that was the reason behind their downfall.
Nadine de Klerk led the attack with figures of 2 for 17, while support came from Radha Yadav and others who consistently broke partnerships. The Giants’ chase saw Ashleigh Gardner make a fighting 54 off 43 balls, but it proved insufficient against the persistent RCB bowling effort.
The win further consolidates RCB Women’s status as a formidable force in the WPL 2026 season, blending experience and depth across batting and bowling. They are unbeaten in the tournament and are inching a step closer to the playoffs.
