In a heart-wrenching final clash, India A, led by Yash Dhull, faced a crushing defeat against arch-rivals Pakistan A in the Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Colombo. Chasing an imposing 353-run target, the Indian youngsters faltered, getting dismissed for 224, allowing Pakistan to clinch the title. Despite having previously defeated Mohammad Haris-led Pakistan A in the group stage, India A couldn't replicate their success in the final. Pakistan's 128-run victory made them the second team, alongside Sri Lanka, to clinch this prestigious title twice.

While Pakistan's triumph was commendable, the umpiring decisions during the final came under scrutiny. The dismissal of opener Sai Sudharsan became a pivotal moment in India A's chase.

Sudharsan had mistimed a pull shot off Arshad Iqbal's delivery, and it appeared that Iqbal had overstepped on the front foot, as seen in the TV replay.

However, to Sudharsan's disappointment, the TV umpire upheld Iqbal's delivery as a legitimate ball, and he was ruled out, departing the field after scoring 29 runs.

Netizens were unhappy over the third umpire's decision with many even saying 'Sai got robbed'. This comes on the back of the 'pathetic' umpiring done against the Indian Women's Cricket team vs Bangladesh.

In the exciting clash on Sunday, Tayyab Tahir's explosive knock of 108 runs off just 71 balls stole the show and set the stage for Pakistan. His brilliant century, accompanied by solid half-centuries from openers Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan, who forged a formidable 121-run partnership, guided Pakistan 'A' to an imposing total of 352 for eight in 50 overs.

In their pursuit of the target, India 'A' fought hard but fell short, getting all out for 224 in 40 overs. Abhishek Sharma showcased his prowess, top-scoring with an impressive 61 runs off 51 balls.
