Retired Indian cricket star Shikhar Dhawan has made headlines once again—this time not with the bat, but through a high-end real estate acquisition. The flamboyant southpaw has purchased an extravagant luxury apartment at The Camellias, DLF’s elite residential project located in Sector 54, Gurugram, within the upscale DLF5 Golf Links area.

This premium property spans an impressive 6,040 square feet, placing Dhawan among the few Indian celebrities to secure a home in one of the country’s most exclusive addresses.

A property deal worth crores

According to documents reviewed by real estate data firm CRE Matrix, the total cost of the apartment stands at ₹65.61 crore. With the addition of ₹3.28 crore paid as stamp duty, the overall transaction value soars to a staggering ₹68.89 crore. The deal includes five reserved parking slots – an essential luxury in high-end urban real estate.

The price metrics are just as eye-watering. The rate per square foot on the carpet area is approximately ₹1,14,068.61, while the cost per square foot based on the super area is ₹1,08,631. These figures rank Dhawan’s purchase among the most expensive residential transactions in India in recent years.

Shikhar Dhawan, known for his flamboyant style both on and off the field, has seamlessly transitioned from the rigours of international cricket to a more settled post-retirement life. After announcing his retirement from all forms of cricket following a prolonged absence from the national side, Dhawan has shifted focus to business, brand endorsements, and personal pursuits.

He made his international debut in 2010 in an ODI against Australia and went on to enjoy a stellar career, playing 34 Tests, 167 ODIs, and 68 T20Is. Known for his aggressive batting, memorable ICC tournament performances, and stylish strokeplay, Dhawan also captained India in several matches across formats.
