In the women's 10m air pistol final at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Rifle/Pistol in Baku, Azerbaijan, Indian shooter Rhythm Sangwan clinched the bronze medal behind two former Olympic champions Olena Kostevych of Ukraine and gold medalist Anna Korakaki of Greece.

Rhythm has now started India's medal count after Sarabjot Singh (men's 10m air pistol) and Esha Singh (women's event), both of whom missed out on medals despite qualifying for the finals. 

It was Rhythm's first senior individual medal at an Olympic competition, making it a breakthrough medal for her. 

Rhythm shot 581 and Esha 579 in the 60-shot qualification stage, to qualify for the eight-woman 24-shot final in the third and seventh spots respectively. Divya TS, the third Indian, shot 575 to finish in 17th place.

In the men's 10m air pistol, Sarabjot Singh shot the highest qualification score of 589 but finished fourth in the finals. 

Shiva Narwal had shot 579 in qualification to finish 14th while Varun Tomar was 44th with 574.
