South Africa have showcased a dominating performance over India in the recently-ended T20 World Cup 2026 match at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. They outplayed India to win the game by a huge margin of 76 runs, pushing their NRR to a whopping +3.80. This will help them strengthen their chances of advancing towards the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, the Indian team struggled to chase down 188 runs, which could have been their highest successful chase in the T20 World Cup history. The failure of the batting line-up and the way India bowled in the middle overs were the reasons behind their defeat. This loss has pushed him way behind since the NRR has taken a hit.
It was South Africa who won the toss and decided to bat first. While it surely looked like they did a huge mistake by batting first, David Miller's 63 off 35 balls changed the game for them. He slammed seven boundaries and three sixes, helping the Proteas score 187 runs in the first innings. Moreover, he also got the support from Dewald Brevis (45) and Tristan Stubbs (44).

South Africa's Marco Jansen and Keshav Maharaj's magical spells helped them bowl out India on just 111 runs. While Jansen claimed four wickets, Maharaj picked up three. They kept the bowling intact and didn't leak runs, unlike the Indian bowlers. This created a huge difference between both teams today.
