The UEFA Nations League 2024/25 is drawing to a close, with the top 4 teams set to be in action this week to determine who will play in the final on June 9. The four semi-finalists are Germany, Portugal, Spain and France. The losers of the semi-finals will clash on June 8 in the fight for third place. Spain is the defending champion and will look at retaining the title, but they are up against France, a team that won the league in 2021.

Germany made it to the semi-final by defeating Italy in the quarter-final stage, while Portugal was up against Denmark, Spain against Netherlands and France against Croatia. This season, Germany tops the table for most goals scored at 23, followed by Sweden at 19 and Netherlands, Spain and France at 18 each.

Established in 2018, there have been three editions of the tournament so far and interestingly, three of the current semi-finalists have been previous winners. Portugal won the inaugural edition, France in 2020/21, while Spain won the 2022/23 final. Germany has not made it to this stage of the tournament earlier and is hosting the league this year.
