Virat Kohli is known for his arrogance and fierce attitude on-field ever since he has started playing cricket. While many experts and viewers have criticised his way of handling the situations, some have appreciated the approach as well. He is one of the best players in the world and have been playing cricket for more than a decade now.
Talking about his behaviour, his former temamate Ajinkya Rahane revealed his personality while having a conversation on Cricbuzz. Rahane mentioned that Kohli is not arrogant, he gets into the zone where his entire focus goes towards the match and how he can perform. Hence, he interacts less with the people and concentrates more on the game.
"However much we talk about Virat Kohli is never enough. But I have seen him very closely, how he goes about his batting. We talk about his passion and his intent each and every time. But I feel for me what stands out is his attitude. Attitude of learning, attitude of never giving up. People outside think Virat is arrogant, but he is not. He gets into the zone," Rahane said on Cricbuzz.
In the first ODI game against New Zealand, Virat Kohli played a match-winning knock, helping India win the game. He scored 93 runs and missed the century by just seven runs. His knock helped India clinch victory. After his dismissal, India lost a few more wickets and weren't looking in good shape.
Later, Harshit Rana and KL Rahul helped them win the match with four wickets in hand. India started the series with a win. The team looked balanced but the batting could have been better in the previous game. Hence, they will be looking forward to playing well in the upcoming games.
