The top players from India are preparing for their two-match Test series against the West Indies, which will be their first assignment following their loss to Australia in the World Test Championship (WTC) Final last month. The tournament itself will also mark India's entry into the third cycle of the WTC and it could see a few fresh faces as well.
The Indian players have travelled to Dominica, where the first Test will be contested on July 12. While training in Barbados, they even had a chance to meet with West Indies star Garry Sobers.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video of players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli facing India's pacers apart from the local net bowlers.
Not just that, Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is anticipated to make his international debut in the first Test, was also spotted taking a few deliveries as head coach Rahul Dravid supervised the action.
The Indian team also engaged in a two-day intra-team practice competition during which Rohit and Jaiswal both scored amazing fifties. They'll probably play one more of those before the first game of the series.
Talking about the first Test, it is set to take place from July 12 to July 16. Following the first Test, the two sides will travel to Trinidad and Tobago, where the second Test will be held in Port of Spain from July 20 to July 24.

Jaiswal, after getting selected in the Test and ODI squads earlier, completed a trifecta by making it in the 20-overs set-up as well.
