The right-handed batter recently uploaded a video on Instagram where he was flexing his shots during the training session. Kohli is an intergral part of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) team and has been with them since the inception.

As the T20 World Cup has come to an end, the players will soon join their respective training camps ahead of the IPL. But, Kohli has been practicing in London, where he currently resides. He played some wonderful shots in the video and it went viral within minutes. He captioned the video, 'IPL 2026'.

RCB won their maiden IPL trophy in 2025 and this season, they'll try to defend it. They broke many records last season, but also made a significant one: first team to win all away matches. RCB lost their home games but went on to win all of their away matches in the tournament. It was truly their year and as they won the title, the emotions on the players' faces were enough to speak about the struggle they went through all these years.

When will IPL 2026 start?

While the fans are eagerly waiting for the IPL 2026 to start, the IPL committee has revealed the dates. The T20 league will commence on March 28 and will be played until May 31. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia announced the dates and also revealed that they'll reveal the first phase of the schedule by March 12.

Since the assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Assam and Kerala are scheduled, the IPL venues might be shuffled during that time. Reports suggest that the season opener can be between RCB and CSK on March 28. While there have no official confirmation on the same, the fans will have to wait for the schedule to be released.
