Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) women's captain Smriti Mandhana was in fine form tonight as she smashed 10 fours and 3 sixes against Delhi Capitals (DC) in Match 7 of the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024. However, her impressive innings were cut short at 74 by Marizanne Kapp.

In the 11th over, Kapp finally claimed her first wicket against RCB with a change of pace. She delivered a slower short ball at the stumps, catching Smriti off guard as she attempted a drive. Unfortunately, she missed, and her off-stump was knocked over. Despite the dismissal, fans took to social media to praise her wonderful knock, with many commending her with "Well played, captain."

In the clash, Delhi Capitals posted the highest total of the WPL season two so far, reaching 194 while losing five wickets along the way. At the time of writing, RCB has lost three wickets and scored 145 runs in 16 overs. The host side needs 50 runs to win from 23 balls.

Richa Ghosh also fell for 19 and Sabbhineni Meghana is at the crease and will be aiming to chase down this mammoth total.

Royal Challengers Bangalore Women won the toss and elected to field against Delhi Capitals. Both teams have made one change to their side. During the toss, RCB captain Smriti Mandhana announced that Ellyse Perry would miss out due to illness, with Nadine de Klerk replacing her in the lineup. On the other hand, DC made a tactical change, bringing Jess Jonassen into the playing XI in place of Annabel Sutherland for this game.
