Estevao Willian made history on August 22, 2025, by becoming the youngest player ever to provide an assist for Chelsea in the Premier League. At just 18 years and 120 days old, Chelsea’s rising star showcased his immense talent and composure during the match against West Ham United at London Stadium.
Estevao’s brilliant assist came from a skillful run that split the West Ham defense, perfectly setting up captain Enzo Fernandez to tap in and give Chelsea a commanding 3-1 lead just before halftime.
The assist not only contributed to Chelsea’s strong performance in the match but also marked a significant milestone for the young forward, highlighting his potential as one of the Premier League’s brightest emerging talents.
The irony is that Estevao was not even supposed to start in this match. He was named on the substitutes list at the start. However, Cole Palmer got injured during the warmups, and Estevao came in to replace him in the starting lineup.
Estevao’s first few minutes were not that good as his let-off allowed Paqueta to score early in the match for West Ham United.
But, soon things turned around for Chelsea as Joao Pedro equalised in the 15th minute, and Pedro Neto gave them the lead in the 23rd minute of the match.
In the 33rd minute, Enzo Fernandez found the net with a tap-in, in which Estevao was the assist provider.
Estevao made his Premier League debut in the first match against Crystal Palace. However, he was unable to make any mark in that match, as Chelsea had to settle for a 0-0 draw.
Estevao was signed by Chelsea in a record ₹272 Cr transfer fee from Brazilian club Palmeiras.
