FC Barcelona, the famous football club, used X (formerly known as Twitter) to say "안녕하세요" (Ahnyeonghasaeyo), which means "Hello", to greet K-pop group LE SSERAFIM. This got fans of the girl group called FEARNOT really excited. But, some people were wondering why these two are collaborating.
To explain, the K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM teamed up with Spotify RADAR for a big promotion. They did a photoshoot where they wore special FC Barcelona soccer jerseys, with Spotify as the main sponsor. Each jersey was made to fit each member perfectly, and their names were on the back to show who was who.
Soon after the photos went viral, FEARNOT flooded social media and even Barca's official handle with messages saying how happy they were to see the two worlds collide.
But this collaboration was more than just an amazing photoshoot. LE SSERAFIM's Spotify RADAR ad was displayed in the famous Times Square in New York City, making it even more famous on one of the world's most famous advertising spots.
Teaming up with Spotify RADAR, a program that helps new artists from different music styles get noticed, shows how fast LE SSERAFIM is rising in the music world. It also shows they have the potential to become the next big thing in K-pop.
Speaking of the group's accomplishments, they received the Rookie Artist of the Year award at the Golden Disc Awards 2023. Additionally, on May 2, the girls launched the physical edition of their debut full-length album "UNFORGIVEN."
According to the Hanteo Chart, the album achieved an astonishing sales figure of 1,024,034 copies on that very day, establishing a remarkable new record for the highest first-day sales by any female artist in Hanteo's history.
