The Indian cricket team have a busy season ahead in the ongoing season. Having won the T20 World Cup 2026 against New Zealand, the players will separate to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 from March 28 to May 31. Following the conclusion of the T20 league, the Indian team will reunite to play a Test series against Afghanistan in India.
Apart from that, they'll play series against England, New Zealand, and other countries. The board has got requests from many countries to play ODI series ahead of the World Cup 2027. Hence, reports suggest that the board is in talks with other nations and will come to a conclusion ahead of the IPL 2026.
This is surely a good news for the Kohli and Rohit fans since the players have retired from international cricket and are playing only ODI matches. Kohli was in a stellar form in the previous season where he helped India win many matches, especially the series against Australia and South Africa.
The Men in Blue will feature in many matches after the end of the IPL 2026, and some of them will be against the best teams. The Test and ODI series are extremely important since the ODI World Cup and WTC 2027 are lined up. India are way behind in the WTC race and will have to win matches to make it to the top 2 rank in the tournament.
