India's star batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have missed the third match of the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025. While many fans wanted to watch them bat in a few more games, Kohli and Rohit were supposed to play just two matches as per their committement. Hence, they weren't available in the ongoing match.

But, there is a good news for the viewers as Kohli is likely to play one more match on January 6, 2026 against the Railways. The match is scheduled at Alur, Bengaluru. Ahead of the New Zealand series, Kohli playing in the VHT is a good news. The player is in form and wants to continue practicing.

Currently, Delhi are facing Saurashtra at the Karnataka Cricket Association (KSCA) Stadium in Alur while Mumbai are clashing against Chhattisgarh at the Jaipuria Vidyalaya Ground in Jaipur. The Jaipur fans got a glimpse of Rohit batting during the first two games but the Bengaluru fans missed the opportunity to watch Kohli bat.

Why didn't BCCI broadcast all games of VHT?

The domestic matches in India aren't streamed live on any platform which has been a huge concern lately as fans were eager to watch Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli bat in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025. While the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) haven't opened up on the reasons yet behind the lack of telecast issues, the possible reason could be the number of matches played in a single day.

In the Ranji Trophy and SMAT, only three matches per round was telecasted on JioHotstar and Star Sports Network and the board continued the same for the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025. Moreover, broadcasting live from all the stadiums isn't possible and that's why they have kept specific stadiums in sight from where the matches are shown live.

With the fans outrage increasing on social media, many former cricketers have also voiced their opinions on the telecasting crisis. Hence, fans might watch Kohli bat in the Vijay Hazare Trophy if the board will broadcast Delhi vs Railways match.
