WTC Final 2023: Virat Kohli's pep talk to Team India huddle on Day 3 goes viral

On Day 3 of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023 Final against Australia at the Oval in London, former India captain Virat Kohli gave the players a pep talk before the side went onto the field again. 

Even though Kohli gave up the Test captaincy last year, he continues to be the squad's senior player and a leader inside the group.

The Indian players were seen attentively listing to the batter's intense talk and it looked like his words worked. Mohammed Siraj started the session by sending back David Warner for 1 and later Umesh Yadav got rid of Usman Khawaja for just 13. 

Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne shared a 62-run stand to revive Australia's innings but Ravindra Jadeja removed the former to pull India back into the game. He later even went on to send back centurion Travis Head for 18.

India had started Day 3 on the wrong foot as KS Bharat was dismissed on the second ball. However, Ajinkya Rahane (89) and Shardul Thakur (51) shared a superb 109-run partnership off 145 balls to lead a fightback for India and avoid the follow-on.
