Director Selvaraghavan, who is gearing up for the release of his next directorial, Naane Varuvean, recently hosted a special guest at his residence in Chennai. And the guest was none other than the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, who spent some quality time with the family. Though reasons for the CM's visit to his residence are unknown, it is said that it was purely a casual visit. Taking to his social media handle, Selvaraghavan shared a picture of the meeting in which his family is seen in full attendance, and captioned it, "When honourable C.M visited our family. what a special meeting (sic)."

In the meantime, the director is gearing up for his next release, Naane Varuvean, which has his younger brother, actor Dhanush playing dual roles. The brothers are teaming up after a long hiatus of almost a decade. (Their last film together was Mayakkam Enna). Selvaraghavan, who had recently faced the camera for Vijay's Beast and the critically acclaimed Arun Matheswaran film, Saani Kaayidham, will also be seen facing the arc lights for the film. His role, however, will be kept under wraps. Earlier today, Selvaraghavan had released a new promo from the film and had called it back-to-back promos. Interestingly, this will be the first time that Selvaraghavan will be acting in his own film.

Naane Varuvean will mark the debut of Elli AvrRam in Tamil and Indhuja Ravichandran will be playing the other leading lady. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja. This is the seventh time that the composer is teaming up with Dhanush after Thulluvadho Ilamai, Pudhukottaiyilirundhu Saravanan, Kadhal Kondein, Pudhupettai, Yaaradi Nee Mohini and Maari 2. While the cinematography is by Om Prakash, editing is by Bhuvan Srinivasan. The psychological thriller has been censored U/A, and the film will have a runtime of 2 hours and 2 minutes.
