RJ-actor-producer Rohitt’s directorial debut Rowdy Fello is coming to theatres soon. In the run-up to the release, the team dropped the first single from the film, Anandhavo Anandhave last evening. Written by singer-composer Vasuki Vaibhav, the song has been composed by Nakul Abhayankar and sung beautifully by Shreya Ghoshal.

Released as a full video, the song features Rohitt, Vidya and Urvashi, and captures their family dynamics. Rohitt as a cab driver and his relationship with his wife, played by Vidya, all while Urvashi as his mother, dotes on him. Rohitt’s character, though, looks rather subdued in the song, which the actor-director says will be explained in the film.

Rowdy Fello also stars Nenapirali Prem as a police officer, while renowned stunt muster Ravi Varma is an antagonist in the film. Written by Rohitt, the film’s script and narrative has been put together under KGF-maker Prashant Neel’s guidance.

Meanwhile, Rohitt is currently in London, where he has been shooting for a thriller with director Hari Santosh. The team had flown to the UK with the intention of making a Hindi-Kannada bilingual, with Tanuj Virwani in the lead of the Hindi version and Rohitt in Kannada. However, plans changed after the Hindi version, Puppy Love, which also stars Tridha Choudhary and Sapna Pabbi, was completed. Instead, Hari has worked on an as-yet-untitled thriller written by Yoganand Muddanna. Currently, there is no word on whether the team will make the Kannada version of Puppy Love, titled I-LU after all.

Rohitt will return to India in early November for the India portions of the film with Hari, after which he will head back to the UK for his next directorial venture, G.O.A.T, a sci-fi thriller. This will also be produced by D Krishna Chaitanya, who has been associated with Rohitt since Karva and has backed Rowdy Fello as well.

When we checked with Rohitt about the release plans for Rowdy Fello, he indicated that the team would finalize plans once he is back in the country.
