Challenging Star Darshan’s 55th film, Kranti, is getting ready for its date with audiences. Back from the Poland schedule, the actor has already begun dubbing for the film. The team has not indicated If the Poland schedule completes principal photography, but going by the fact that the actor has begun dubbing for his role, it seems that composer-director V Harikrishna has been editing the film side-by-side and wasting no time.

It was initially rumoured that Kranti could be a Dasara release, considering that it was launched during the festival last year. We now hear that a December release is more likely, giving the team enough time to wind up post-production and promotions, as the film is being released as a pan-India project in five languages.

Kranti is Darshan’s second film with V Harikrishna at the helm. The duo’s earlier collaboration was Yajamana, produced by Shylaja Nag for Media House Studio. While Yajamana had the actor take on the oil mafia, Kranti is about the education system. In fact, in early June, it was reported that the basic plotline of Kranti followed a ‘save a government Kannada-medium school’, which had fans wondering how such a story could warrant a pan-India release.

Darshan, reportedly plays an NRI in the film, which could explain the requirement of a foreign schedule. The film pairs the Challenging Star with his Bulbul and Ambareesha co-star Rachita Ram yet again. During the Poland schedule, Darshan had posted an image of his look from the film on social media, which not only went viral, but also ensured that he trended for quite a while. While fans were appreciative of his leaner avatar, there were comments about his receding hairline too.

Since it’s launch, very little about Kranti has been released into the public domain. Apart from the teaser that came out on Darshan’s birthday in February, there’s a picture of the team enroute to Poland, a leaked still from the film, and, of course, Darshan’s post about his look. The image of the actor dubbing is the latest.
