Katelyn Rose Downey and Anna Popplewel join cast of The Nun 2

The Chronicles of Narnia star Anna Popplewel has been added to the cast of The Nun 2. She will be joined by Katelyn Rose Downey, the star of The Empress. While several details regarding the film are currently under wraps, it has been revealed that Popplewell will essay the role of a widow named Marcella, the mother of a 10-year-old named Sophie.

‘Never Let Me Go’ adaptation greenlit FX/Hulu Series Order

Never Let Me Go, the acclaimed novel by Kazuo Ishiguro is being adapted into a TV series and has been greenlit for Hulu by FX. Melissa Iqbal, popular for the HBO series The Nevers, will helm the series. While Alex Garland, who penned the script for the 2010 feature film, will serve as an executive producer. Viola Prettejohn, Tracey Ullman, and Kelly Macdonald will essay important roles in the series.

‘Industry’ renewed for a third session

HBO’s grip on the premium cable network space in the US is set to continue with the renewal of the popular TV series Industry for a third season. The news comes in the midst of a host of changes at the helm of Warner Bros, the parent company of HBO, after its merger with Discovery which has resulted in several film and TV show cancellations.

Disney+ purchases global distribution rights for Doctor Who

The iconic British sci-fi fantasy series, Doctor Who has been snapped up by Disney+ in a global streaming partnership. The streaming giant will have exclusivity for upcoming seasons of the hit TV series globally while BBC will continue to stream it in the U.K. and Ireland. It was revealed earlier this year that Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa will take over the reins of the character from David Tennant in three years after Tennant was shockingly revealed to be the next Doctor replacing the outgoing Jodi Whittaker.
