Sonali Bendre debuted in 1994 with Aag although it was the 1996 film, Diljale that cemented her status in Bollywood. The latter half of the 1990s saw her emerging into considerable prominence with major roles in Sarfarosh, HumSaath Saath Hain. In 2003, she made her Marathi film debut in Anahat, which garnered her a Star Screen Awards Best Actress nomination, ensuing which she withdrew from the industry . In 2013, she made a comeback with Milan Luthria directorial Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara. She has had a successful TV career, judging various reality shows such as Indian Idol 4, India’s Got Talent.
