The German film composer turns a year older today

Hans Zimmer is arguably one of the greatest score composers and music producers today. Zimmer, who started his career in 1977, has bagged two Oscars and four Grammys, and has been nominated for two Emmys and a Tony.

After winning an Academy Award for The Lion King (1995), Zimmer went on to compose music for films such as The Dark Knight Trilogy, The Last Samurai Inception, Interstellar, and Dunkirk, among many others.

Most recently, he won the Academy Award for his composition in the 2022 Denis Villeneuve film Dune.
