Tapaal is a Marathi film that Varsha Madhusudan Satpalkar produced and Laxman Utekar directed. The movie features Milind Gunaji, Veena Jamkar, Nandu Madhav, Rohit Utekar, and Urmilla Kothare. A young boy named Ranga writes a letter to his childhood sweetheart in the film. Subsequently, he attempts to retrieve the letter with the assistance of Postman Devram, realising it could end up in the wrong hands.

Lalbaugchi Rani

Boney Kapoor and Sunil Manchanda produced and directed Laxman Utekar's 2016 Marathi slice-of-life drama, Lalbaugchi Rani. Parth Bhalerao and Prathamesh Parab provide supporting performances alongside Veena Jamkar in the lead role. In the film, a mentally ill 24-year-old woman sets out on an adventure after becoming disoriented in Mumbai. She encounters many members of society and has an impact on their lives throughout her extraordinary journey.

Luka Chuppi - JioCinema, Netflix

Laxman Utekar directed the 2019 Hindi romantic comedy Luka Chuppi, while Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films produced it. Aparshakti Khurana, Vinay Pathak, Pankaj Tripathi, and Alka Amin round up the supporting cast, which includes Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. This Mathura-set drama follows a TV reporter and his independent intern as they live together, causing havoc in their respective traditional families, who mistakenly believe they are married.

Mimi - Netflix

Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films produced the 2021 Hindi comedy-drama Mimi, while Laxman Utekar directed it. In this 2011 Marathi film (Mala Aai Vhhaychy!) adaptation, Kriti Sanon plays the title role of a surrogate mother who agrees to carry a child for an international couple. Aidan Whytock, Evelyn Edwards, Supriya Pathak, Pankaj Tripathi, Sai Tamhankar, and Manoj Pahwa all play supporting roles in the film.

Bhanu (Tripathi) introduces Mimi (Sanon) to a surrogate couple from the US for Rs. 20 lakh. Even when the parents change their minds, she still plans to have the baby. But in the process, she informs her parents that Bhanu is the father.

Mimi received two awards at the 69th National Film Awards: Best Supporting Actor (Tripathi) and Best Actress (Sanon). 

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke - JioCinema from May 17

In the 2023 Hindi romantic comedy Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan play the roles of a married couple from a small town who are saving up for a down payment on a property. Laxman Utekar wrote and directed the film, which Maddock Films and Jio Studios produced.
