Geetanjali Kulkarni's web series Gullak 4 is now streaming on SonyLIV and OTTplay Premium. The actress reprised her character of Shanti Mishra in the series. In Gullak 4, she is seen as a mother of two boys - Anand Mishra and Aman Mishra. Jameel Khan, on the other hand, plays her on-screen husband Santosh. After Gullak 4's release, OTTplay interviewed the senior actress, who spoke about relating to Aman's character from the show, which has parenting vs adulting as its main theme. While speaking about the same, she recalled an incident from her adulting days.
Geetanjali Kulkarni opens up about her adulting days
Speaking exclusively with OTTplay, Geetanjali Kulkarni said children share a different kind of equation with their parents every decade. "Between 15 and 25, you're adulting as it is shown in the series, so I can relate with Aman so much because I was a rebel," said the Gullak 4 actress.
Sharing an incident from her adulting days, she added, "I still remember when I was in the 12th grade, there used to be a magazine called Kiss. I used to read it and keep it in my textbook. I was in the 12th grade but still, I was scared of my parents. My father saw it and he was so upset. So, the magazine used to be with the photographs and it was probably an American edition. But as a young girl, I always waited for the next edition."

The senior actress continued to mention, "I remember, my father scolded me so much and asked how can you read such magazines. And I used to feel like I am in 12th grade, main abhi nahi padhungi toh kab padhungi. So, I can resonate with the father's character, Annu's character, and Bittu ki Mummy's character. I have seen them all. Sab ka part mujh mein bhi hain. Shanti Mishra is loveable, I like her."

In the same conversation, Geetanjali said she relates to Shanti Mishra's character a lot. However, the actress admitted she is not similar to Shanti but she has seen many women, especially homemakers, who can resonate with the character.
