Roshan Meka is the son of star hero Srikanth and actress Ooha and started his career with Pelli SandaD. The film had Sreeleela as the female lead, and today she is a top star in Telugu cinema, with close to 20 films in her kitty.
However, for Roshan, things have not been easy, and he is now ready with only his second film, Champion, which is all set to hit the screens on December 25, 2025, as a Christmas special.
Champion is a period drama. As the film is releasing alongside two other popular films, Dhandorr and Shambhala, there is a lot of pressure on Roshan and his team to deliver. Roshan is quite tense about the release and says that the film has to work at any cost, as it has been in the making for three years.

“Ever since I heard the story, I decided not to take up any other film, as the character and the film demanded massive dedication. To be very honest, I was tense as hell because I did not get to watch any rushes of the film until a few days ago. After seeing the trailer and an unedited version of the film, I am super thrilled and confident that Champion will surely be a hit at the box office,” says Roshan.
Champion is being backed by the makers of Mahanati, Jathi Ratnalu, and Kalki 2898 AD. Speaking about the producers, Roshan says, “I am in safe hands, as the makers of Champion are legends when it comes to making period films. They have done it before, and I trusted them even when the film got delayed due to extensive research work.”

Pradeep Advaitam has directed Roshan in this film, set in the Nizam era, which revolves around a man who rebels for love. Malayalam actress Anaswara Rajan plays the female lead, and she too has a very important role. All eyes are now on Roshan, as the film needs to click at any cost for him to revive his career.
“The only advice my parents have given me is to go all out and give 100% every time I take up a film. Champion is a visual experience and will take audiences on an emotional ride in theatres. Such films do not come easily for a young actor like me, and I am thrilled to be a part of Champion,” concludes Roshan.
