Batman Begins

Fourteen years after witnessing his parents’ murder, billionaire and socialite Bruce Wayne spends seven years traveling the world and immersing himself in combat to be prepared for the trials that come with getting involved with the underworld in his pursuit of a crime-free Gotham City. Directed by Academy Award-winning director Christopher Nolan, the 2005 superhero film is written by Nolan and David S. Goyer from a story by Goyer. Starring American Psycho (2000) actor Christian Bale in the lead as Bruce Wayne/Batman, the rest of the cast includes Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, Katie Holmes, Gary Oldman, Cillian Murphy, Tom Wilkinson, Rutger Hauer, Ken Watanabe and Morgan Freeman, among others. The film is the first installment of The Dark Knight Trilogy.
