Contagion

The American medical thriller film follows the spread of a contagious virus which is transmitted by respiratory droplets and fomites. Medical researchers and public health officials try to figure out the cause of the spread by identifying the disease while a pandemic starts to grow. The plot also takes through the invention of a vaccine to save the affected people and cease the pandemic. The film has a multi-narrative "hyperlink cinema" style which has been popularized by Steven Soderbergh, the director of the movie. The film has a star-studded cast of Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, Bryan Cranston, Jennifer Ehle, Sanaa Lathan and Marion Cotillard.
