After its OTT release on 2nd July 2021, Haseen Dilruba became as the most-watched Hindi film on Netflix of the year, reaching top 10 in 22 different countries. The film's soundtrack was composed by Amit Trivedi, and its reception was mostly positive showering praise on the dark and noir storytelling. The film's success prompted an announcement regarding a sequel titled Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba. At the 67th Filmfare Awards, the film received eight nominations including Best Actress (Critics') and Best Story.
