Ozhimuri

Ozhimuri is a 2012 Indian Malayalam - language film that is directed by Madhupal and written by Jeyamohan. This is a period drama film that stars Lal, Mallika, Asif Ali, Bhavana, Jagadish, Ilavarasu and Shweta Menon. The film depicts the several complexities of a period of transition from matrilineal society to patrilineal society. The film follows the story of a 55-year old woman. She filed a divorce petition against her 71-year old husband, after the two were married for over 30 years. Their son along with a female advocate searches for the reason as well as circumstances for their divorce which changes their perception about some people.
