Pariyerum Perumal

Pariyerum Perumal, directed by Mari Selvaraj is a 2018 dark Tamil language drama film. The movie was based in casteism which exists in India till date. The movie revolves around an oppressed caste boy named Pariyerum Perumal alias Pariyan. Wanting to be like Dr B.R Ambedkar, he got into law school and ended up meeting a girl named Jothi Mahalakshmi alias Jo. The two got really close but her cousin Sankaralingam didn’t like this one bit nor did her father. He ended up getting humiliated and beaten up. Jo’s father asked him to stay away from Jo. This irked Joo since she didn’t know anything and thought that Pariyan was acting weird. Jo’s father ended up asking someone to kill Pariyan. Now the tables were turned as Pariyan fought back and won.
