Shutter

Shutter emerged in the year 2012 and is portrayed as the "poetical violence on Celluloid" by the director. This Malayalam film directed by Joy Mathew as his debut revolves around three men who were a Gulf Malayali, an autorickshaw driver, and a film director. This commercial success led Shutter for a remake in Marathi with the same name and in Tamil as Oru Naal Iravil. It also came in Punjabi as Lock in the year 2015. Kannada and Telugu audiences also acknowledge the remade called Idolle Ramayana and Mana Oori Ramayanam respectively. With these achievements and a unique storyline, Shutter became the only movie to have remake versions in all five South Indian languages. Joy Matthew's Shutter explores two days and one night adventure when Rasheed is locked away with a prostitute by his friends, initiating some unexpected events going forward.
