Tropic Thunder

Tropic Thunder is an American comedy-action film directed by Ben Stiller. The film features performances from Ben Stiller himself in the lead role alongside Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr., Jay Baruchel, and Brandon T. Jackson, as they portray a group of prima donna actors making a big-budget Vietnam War film. The film crew is forced to become the soldiers they are portraying when they are attacked by a gang of poppy-growing local drug dealers, due to mistaken identities. The ensemble cast also includes Tom Cruise, Nick Nolte, Danny McBride, Matthew McConaughey, and Bill Hader.
