Zubeidaa

Zubeidaa is a 2001 Indian Hindi language film directed by Shyam Benegal. This historical drama film follows the story of Zubeidaa, daughter of a filmmaker. Zubeidaa’s story is full of drama and ups and downs. Zubeidaa is the daughter of a filmmaker and is also a beautiful woman. She is married and her husband becomes a live-in, son-in-law at Zubeidaa’s place. A conflict between Zubeidaa’s father and father-in-law, results in the divorce of a newly made mother, Zubeidaa. Zubeidaa and her son are alone. With time, Zubeidaa remarries with Maharaja Vijayendra Singh of Fatehpur. Zubeidaa becomes his second wife and faces a lot of problems there. Zubeidaa’s son, Riyaz , searches for her mother in future. Riyaz learns dirty secrets of the big palace and in the end gets his answers.
