The plot follows Major Shaitan Singh's leadership and the company's fight against overwhelming odds. This narrative is built from the lives and preparations of the soldiers, culminating in their heroic last stand where they fought fiercely despite being outnumbered.
Major Shaitan Singh (portrayed by Farhan Akhtar) was an Indian Army officer in the 13 Kumaon Regiment. He led the Charlie Company at Rezang La. Despite being seriously wounded, he roamed between platoon posts, rallying his troops and fighting heroically against overwhelming odds, inflicting significant enemy losses.
He died defending his post, becoming a national hero and receiving the Param Vir Chakra (PVC) for his exceptional courage.
