120 Bahadur Trailer OUT: Farhan Akhtar looks promising as Major Shaitan Singh Bhati in Rezang La-based war drama; Amitabh Bachchan's voiceover is unmissable

120 Bahadur, starring Farhan Akhtar, is one of the most-awaited films of 2025. The film has been garnering a lot of attention ever since it was announced. Following some teasers and posters, on November 6, the makers finally unveiled the trailer for 120 Bahadur. The film is based on the Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 India-China War.

The 2-minute and 48-second trailer of 120 Bahadur shows Farhan Akhtar in the role of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati. He is leading the 120 Indian soldiers of the 13 Kumaon Regiment, who are opposing 3,000 Chinese soldiers. The film is based on the Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 India-China War. The trailer shows the bravery of Indian soldiers who sacrifice their lives for their country. 

While the visuals grab attention, the trailer is special for one more reason - it has the voiceover of Amitabh Bachchan at the beginning, who introduces the battle and the plot of the film. His calm yet deep voice is truly mesmerising as ever. The trailer also shows Raashii Khanna as the wife of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati. 

Sharing the trailer on Instagram, the makers captioned it, "Based on a true story that shaped our nation’s history, 120 Bahadur." 

Who was Major Shaitan Singh Bhati?

Major Shaitan Singh Bhati was a decorated Indian Army officer who was awarded the Param Vir Chakra posthumously for his gallantry during the 1962 Indian-China War. He commanded a company of the 13 Kumaon Regiment during the Battle of Rezang La in Ladakh. 

He fought bravely against a significantly larger Chinese force, inspiring his troops even after being seriously wounded. He died on the battlefield after evacuating wounded soldiers and insisted on leaving his remaining troops to fend for themselves.

Major Shaitan Singh's bravery is remembered as a symbol of indomitable spirit and leadership. His statue is at the National War Memorial in New Delhi.
