Fridaay app has been teasing the Bengali viewers with its latest original show 1954 The Historical Crime for the past two months now. Recently the streamer has dropped the official trailer and release date, claiming to be arriving this Durga Puja. The series features Rudranil Ghosh and Sourav Das in the lead roles and is created by Sayantan Mukherjee. 1954 The Historical Crime is based on a true story where Rudranil to be seen as a determined detective who works at Lalbazar Police Station. Meanwhile, Sourav Das to appear at the main antagonist.

The 1-minute-56-second trailer begins with a thrilling crime news reporting by a lawyer to the judge, mentioning that near Kalighat area's several places a dead body's different parts were found on 30th January 1954. The video then takes viewers to the flashbacks when the police found out the body and Rudranil Ghosh as a police officer is seen doubting hydrogen sulphide has been used for the murder.

Meanwhile, we can see Sourav Das as a theatre artist who's practicing his part on the stage at night. Thing turn more intense when Rudranil Ghosh begins his investigation with sheer hatred for the killer for attempting such a heinous and horrific crime. We also see Koushik Sen as another lawyer. However, one thing has been revealed in the trailer that the killer (Sourav Das) is obsessed with his female victims physically and loved to cherish them.
