Never Kiss Your Best Friend Season 2 is a web series on ZEE5 that stars various actors such as Nakuul Mehta, Anya Singh, Karan Wahi, Jaaved Jaaferi, Niki Walia and Sarah-Jane Dias. It was adopted from a book by Sumrit Shahi of the same name and dealt with intricate associations and companionships. Harsh Dedhia directed the series. Taking to Instagram today, Nakuul Mehta – who has millions of followers on his Instagram handle, said, “Internet reminds me that’s it 2 years to Season 2. Grateful for the memories and everyone I met on this ride. #NeverKissYourBestFriend” Lakhs of social media users liked Mehta’s post. Also, Mehta’s wife Jankee Parekh Mehta dropped a bunch of heart-eyed emoticons in the comments section of the post.
Karan Wahi also took to his Instagram Stories and said, “2 years of Never Kiss Your Best Friend 2.” Actress Niki Walia also marked the special day on her Instagram today.
What was special about Season 2 of the series?
In this sequel, there are two characters named Tanie and Sumer who are true pals to each other on-screen, played by Anya Singh and Nakuul Mehta. The coronavirus lockdown saw Tanie’s emotions tackled for about two years. The success story of her first book saw Tanie break up with her former best friend cum boyfriend, Sumer. But they are brought together again by destiny after being separated for some time, and it is not long before they are at loggerheads.
With nearly two years of no contact between them, tensions run high as they navigate their complex relationship. Adapted from Sumrit Shahi's book of the same title, the series is directed by Harsh Dedhia and produced by 11:11 Productions. As many as 8 episodes are there in Season 2 of the series.
