4 Latest Tamil OTT releases (March 16 – March 22) to watch on Prime Video, JioHotstar, Netflix, Sony LIV, theatres and more

With election dates announced in Tamil Nadu, and the state beginning to observe modal code of conduct, the coming weeks will witness less of releases, let alone OTT titles. However, that being said, this week, there are some prominent films that will release in theatres and streaming platform, for the occasion of Eid. Here are the Tamil releases of this week:

Youth – Theatres (March 19)

Youth is an upcoming Tamil film starring actor Ken Karunaas in the lead role, who has also written and directed the film. Billed to be a youthful entertainer, the film is set during the school days of a 15-year-old boy Praveen whose only aim is to find his true love. While it is for you watch the film if he really wins, Youth explores the coming-of-age stage of Praveen and how he finds the value in relationships and people around him. Anishma Anilkumar, Meenakshi Dinesh, Nalini, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Devadarshini and others are part of the cast.

Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge – Theatres (March 19)

Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is the much-anticipated sequel to the 2025 blockbuster Dhurandhar. The espionage thriller is headlined by Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar. The film follows from where the first film left, about the RAW agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi, who goes undercover in Pakistan under the name of Hamza Ali Mazari. Now that a notable personality of Pakistan’s underbelly, Rehman Dakait (played by Akshaye Khanna) is now dead, Hamza must break a dangerous ISI-gangster network in Karachi, seeking vengeance. Actors Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R. Madhavan and others are part of the cast. With a runtime of over three hours, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge will release in theatres in Tamil as well.

Seetha Payanam – SunNXT via OTTplay Premium (March 19)

Seetha Payanam is a Telugu romantic drama, that will stream in Tamil as well. Directed by actor Arjun Sarja, with his daughter Aishwarya playing the lead role, the film travels along the journey that the protagonist takes. It follows Seetha, raised by single father and does not like the idea of marriage. However, when Seetha takes a road trip, she meets a few people who change her idea about life and marriage. Niranjan Sudhindra plays the lead role, along with the cast comprising of Prakash Raj, Sathyaraj, Kovai Sarala and others.

Vishnu Vinayasam - Prime Video (March 20)

Vishnu Vinyasam is a Telugu romantic comedy drama, which will stream in Tamil as well. It is about a college-going young man who has a strong belief in astrology. When a girl proposes to him, he reviews their horoscopes and finds it a match. But little does he know that the girl has a hidden intention. The film is written and directed by Yadunaath Maruthi Rao, and stars Sree Vishnu and Nayana Sarika.
