Youth is an upcoming Tamil coming-of-age drama, which is slated for release this week. The film is billed to be a youthful entertainer. With the advance bookings now open, here is everything you need to know about the film before booking the tickets; from plot to cast.
Youth is set to release in theatres on March 19, coinciding with various other Indian films. It will directly clash with Hindi spy thriller Dhurandhar 2, Malayalam comedy Aadu 3, and Telugu action drama Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
The trailer of Youth was released by the makers a while ago. It shows what to expect from the film. Centering around a young boy called Praveen, we are shown how he typical of any other boy of his age. He is fascinated by three girls who are fond of him. Filled with dance, comedy, and drama, the film is expected to revolve around school romance, and coming-of-age drama of a young boy.
Youth is about a teenage boy Praveen. Like any other 15-year-old, Praveen too wants to true love while in his school and is determined to do so before school ends. It is through the process of series of relationships and heartbreaks, he slowly understands what is love actually about, thus forming his mental maturity and perspective about life.
Ken Karunaas, who was seen in films like Asuran and Vaathi, will be making his lead acting debut with Youth. He has also written and directed the film. Actors Anishma Anilkumar, Meenakshi Dinesh, Nalini, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Devadarshini and others have also played important roles. With music scored by GV Prakash Kumar, the film is shot by cinematographer Viki and edited by Nash.

Youth’s streaming rights have been bagged by Netflix. The platform will release the film in multiple languages after its theatrical run. While an official OTT release date is yet to be announced, it is expected that Youth will stream some end of April.
