The romantic drama film, After Everything, is inching closer to its digital release, thus adding a heart-pounding anticipation with each day. Based on popular novel characters Hardin and Tessa from the After series, penned by Anna Todd, the ‘After’ movie franchise is written and directed by Castille Landon and will soon be unraveling on Netflix in February. Starring Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin in the lead roles, here’s everything you need to know about the concluding part that will be available to stream on February 1.
Final part
The final part - After Everything released theatrically in September 2023, and since then global fans have expected its OTT release so they can make peace with the last part. Previously, the four parts narrated the on-off relationship between the main characters Hardin Scott and Tessa Young while navigating their troubled pasts and family conflicts.
Hardin’s point of view
The fifth and final part is from Hardin Scott’s (played by Hero Tiffin) point of view and mostly revolves around his past relationships and the newly found fam fame of a bestselling author trying to save his current relationship with Tessa after his secrets and lies sabotaged it.
Toxic relationships getting melted
Another major aspect of the After series is the use of a toxic relationship narrative which highlights how the young and innocent Tessa falls for her opposite guy, Hardin Scott, who is also projected as a highly volatile red flag. It is fascinating to watch how the makers will tweak the finale part so that the toxic relationship gets a subtle end with Hardin’s character development to a decent guy after his previous ‘morally grey’ antics.
Happy Ending
After Everything will have a happy ending, unlike the other parts when Tessa and Hardin were always drifting with a painful breakup. Since it is the last part, you can expect the journey to be a rollercoaster ride of emotions, and finally, the story culminates into a beautiful ending with the leading stars finally beaming with joy in the flash forward!
New and old characters
After Everything includes the new character of ‘Nathalie,’ who is one of Hardin’s ex-girlfriends. The character is played by Sex Education fame ‘Mimi Keene’ and forms one of the key characters in the concluding sequel. Meanwhile, it also revolves around the previous pivotal characters like Landon, Nora, Trish Daniels, Christian Vance, and others.
